Industrial Engineer

Summary

Our client is in search of an experienced Industrial Engineer who will be responsible for developing and implementing optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods following product specifications and quality standards. The successful candidate will assist in recommending and implementing improvement to production processes, practices, and controls. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving and evaluating information as it relates to specific job functions, as well as the mathematical principles and methods of engineering design to specify, predict, and assess the results obtained from system processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop methods for textile construction & manufacturing, including material selection, construction technique, process capability, and work instructional methods  
  • Develop quality plans for new and existing products. Review quality data and improve quality/reliability
  • Review methods for productivity/opportunities. Provide engineering updates to document new processes
  • Estimate production cost, and effect of product design changes for management review, action, and control
  • Confer with vendors, staff, and management personnel regarding purchases, procedures, product specifications, manufacturing capabilities, and project status
  • Prepares and maintains detailed layouts of buildings and equipment

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering (Industrial preferred, would consider equal work experience)
  • 5+ years’ experience in industrial engineering
  • Technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods
  • Close attention to detail and accuracy
  • Sound time management skills
  • Team oriented attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion
  • Computer skills; proficient in MS Office and use of process specific software’s
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
